All SQPs are required to abide by the current version of the Code of Practice, to abide by the Veterinary Medicines Regulations taking account of VMD’s Veterinary Medicines Guidance Notes, and to act in a professional manner.
Where appropriate AMTRA will work with the Inspections and Investigations Team of the VMD to investigate complaints, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the VMD and AMTRA.
Student SQPs (or recently qualified SQPs) who wish to make a complaint about the standard of service, action or lack of action, provided by AMTRA during their time as a student SQP, should consult the student SQP complaints procedure.
AMTRA’s Professional Standards Committee and Board will consider written complaints about AMTRA SQPs alleged to have breached the Code or alleged to have acted in some other way which might constitute a breach of professional standards.
Complaints should be made in writing to:
The Secretary General
1c Windmill Avenue
Bury St Edmunds
or email [email protected]
Complaints will be considered by the Board and where appropriate by the Professional Standards Committee in accordance with the procedural document CF1 Registration and Professional Conduct of SQPs v8 – September 2019
If you are concerned about the activities of an SQP business but where the complaint can’t be directed at a particular SQP, please contact the VMD:
